Reflecting on the past year at Veretec
As we head into a brand new year, let’s take a look back at some of the highlights of 2024…
Projects
The past year saw the successful completion of two of our landmark projects – the heritage-sensitive refurbishment of the Grade II listed Electra House at 84 Moorgate, protecting the historic fabric while equipping the building for the demands of the 21st century, and the redevelopment and extension of the beautiful Victorian warehouse building at 10 Greycoat Place, providing sustainable, wellbeing-friendly office space in the heart of Westminster.
We worked on, and continue to work on, some great projects for St. George – London Dock and Wandsworth Mills. As well as Holloway Park and Hammersmith & Fulham Civic Campus, The West King Street redevelopment scheme by RSHP which will see Hammersmith and Fulham’s beautiful Grade II listed Town Hall transformed into a vibrant new development for a wide range of community and commercial activities.
We also picked up several exciting commissions, among which are projects at The Bishops Avenue in North London, 43-45 Portman Square, 8 Lancelot Place, SGQ Museum Street, Grafton Street and New Bond Street, Holden House and 125 Shaftsbury Avenue. These represent a strong mix of sectors, including prime residential, workplace, retail and mixed-use, providing a diverse pipeline that will keep us busy for months to come.
We were delighted to see some of the projects on which we worked shortlisted for industry awards, including a win at the Structural Steel Design Awards for n2 at the Nova masterplan in London Victoria as well as a multiple-finalist at the Structural Timber Awards in Project Apple, an innovative pharmaceutical R&D premises in Surrey for UCB.
