“Improving air quality is a big priority in urban locations and that is why we will deliver air purifying paint, new trees, shrubs and green roofs to make a positive impact around Edward Street Quarter”

Steve Eccles / First Base Project Director

Veretec worked alongside a large multi-disciplinary team with particular emphasis on resolving complex structural and services issues.

This mixed-use scheme re-develops a vacant site to the east of the city centre to create 168 residential units and 160,000 ft2 of workspace. At ground level, a series of public landscaped walkways and green spaces will be formed, along with a new pedestrianised street that will tie the site into the local area. A new public square will provide outdoor space for a mix of leisure and creative activities for the adjacent shops, cafes and market stalls.

The project completed in 2021.
