The project involved the extensive remodelling of an existing 1960s building with significant structural alterations to create high quality newly refurbished office space over ten storeys.

The existing glazed façade was completely removed, and the building stripped back to the structural frame. A new façade of carefully detailed masonry using intricately patterned handmade Danish bricks has reinvigorated the appearance of the building. The internal reconfiguration integrated new environmental systems to improve energy performance and has been awarded a BREEAM Excellent certificate.

The building completed in 2014 and is the new London headquarters of Burberry, the British luxury fashion brand.

“The refurbishment has reintegrated the building into its historic setting and transformed it into an inspiring contemporary work environment.”
