Also known as Cannon Bridge House, the scheme involved major renovations including the upgrade of the Thames facing southern facade with new glazing to allow more natural light, and a significant overhaul to the existing entrances on Cousin Lane.

An improved glass link at first floor and a reduction in size of the existing atrium roof help to improve the building’s energy efficiency and increase the overall lettable area.

This ambitious reuse of the existing building has achieved BREEAM Very Good and was completed in 2017.

New occupiers include Deliveroo who moved their UK headquarters to The River Building.

“Reconfiguring services distribution within the space meant that the architects’ design team achieved bright, fresh and unusual office accommodation with improved floor to ceiling heights, levels of natural light and increased occupational densities.”
