The project involves the demolition of a series of industrial sheds and replacement with 457 residential units spread over 6 buildings of up to 14 storeys in height. At ground and first floors there will be light industrial ‘maker’ spaces, storage & distribution spaces and a café.

The Vulcan Wharf site has been designated for redevelopment by the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC), with the objective of providing an employment-led mixed-use scheme with open space and improved transport links.

“More than a third of the residential units will be offered as affordable housing with a split of 60 per cent London Affordable Rent and 40 per cent shared ownership...A new public space at the confluence of two rivers will enable the public to walk along this stretch of water for the first time…”
