The Green House – ‘Building of the Year’ Nomination

We’re delighted to see The Green House has been nominated for an ArchDaily ‘Building of the Year’ award.

Designed by Waugh Thistleton, this exemplar retrofit project for Ethical Property retains an existing concrete framed building and further extends using both Glulam and Cross Laminated Timber to deliver passively ventilated and flexible workspaces orientated around a central atrium.

The BREEAM Excellent building also won an Architects’ Journal retrofit award in 2019 and is a great example of a low carbon sustainable building that reduces its negative impact upon the environment by maximising the use of natural resources and renewable energies.
