Our Auriens Chelsea project has now reached PC – a fantastic achievement for this innovative later living scheme which we began work on in 2018
The 56 residential care scheme, located on Dovehouse street close to the Kings Road, is designed for self-contained independent living and provides residents with private health care and a variety of extensive communal and wellbeing facilities including restaurants, gym and fitness studio, swimming pool, library, cinema, ‘speakeasy’ bar, wine room and a mix of external courtyards and garden space.
The building has been designed to complement the proportions of the adjacent Georgian architecture and features brick and stone faced precast cladding. Particular focus has been placed on tying the design into the local context with carefully considered public art and bespoke metal work which reflects the history of the surrounding area.
Elegant and diverse interiors have been designed by Richmond International, whose previous projects include prominent luxury London hotels such as The Langham and The Beaumont Hotel.
The scheme has been delivered to BIM Level 2 and was awarded Project of the Year at the BIM Awards 2020 with Judges commending the innovative use of digital construction methods and integrated design processes.
The first residents have much to look forward to when they are welcomed later this year!
