Lupe joined Veretec in 2023 and brings over a decade of experience delivering new-build urban residential scheme and office fit-outs. She is a lead on the practice’s Stage 4 and 5 audit work, carried out on behalf of clients or contractors and is currently working on a range of projects including at Grafton Street, a new premium retail building on Bond Street for Yves St Laurent.
Lupe is an active member of the practice’s CPD and events group, and a member of the sustainability group, where she champions the role of POEs in helping to achieve the targets set out in the RIBA’s 2030 challenge.
Prior to joining us she worked at Hutchinson and Partners where she worked on the delivery phase of 101 Camley Street, a large, mixed-use development in Kings Cross featuring beautiful and complex facades comprising sustainable Ultima bricks.
Elena is qualified both as an architect and as a civil engineer and brings a unique, holistic perspective to Veretec which combines design expertise with a deep understanding of the structural aspects of built form. She is currently leading on the façade package for 30 Berkeley Square, a new auction house, gallery and office space.
Elena has over 15 years’ experience in a wide variety of sectors including commercial, residential, infrastructure and science. She has worked at a range of practices: KPF, where she worked on the Abu Dhabi Airport; Sheppard Robson, where she worked on the Francis Crick Institute; Perkins and Will and Marks Barfield. Elena has over 12 years’ experience working with BIM and Revit on a range of complex, large-scale projects.
She studied at Imperial College and UCL, where she obtained an MSC in computational design. She is passionate about the growing role that tech can play in both design and construction, continuing to explore the potential of digital tools and AI in the AEC industry.
Barry is a creative problem-solver. As a Senior Associate, he takes an active practice-wide role in championing design quality and internal knowledge share.
Barry co-leads our sustainability group exploring low-carbon initiatives in construction and delivery, and also leads our R&D group with a focus on new ways of working, construction techniques and industry collaboration. He is also training to becoming one of our qualified Building Safety Act Principal Designers.
Barry has particular expertise in facades and building envelopes. Prior to joining us in 2023 he worked at AHMM for over 12 years, where he led design teams and contractors delivering complex, new build commercial schemes, and was responsible for delivering the unitised curtain wall facades at Derwent London’s Soho Place.
Barry is excited by the opportunities to influence a rapidly changing industry. He is a member of ACAN (Architects Climate Action Network) and participates in a number of industry sustainability forums with a particular interest in the need to reduce carbon in Category A fit-outs.
Laura-Anne has over 25 years post qualification experience in architecture and construction with a diverse portfolio across a range of sectors including mixed-use, residential, education, commercial, film studio and social development both in the UK and abroad.
She has extensive expertise applying her technical ability and problem solving skills to the design and delivery of projects across all stages of work and is highly proficient in studio and team management helping to build lasting relationships with clients and design teams.
Having qualified as an architect in Johannesburg she ran her own practice for a number of years before relocating to London leading teams as an Associate to deliver large scale mixed-use and high end residential projects, at KSR Architects and then Pick Everard, where her role included public sector framework management.
As part of the Veretec Leadership Team Laura-Anne focusses on project and studio sustainability initiatives, quality assurance, business development and marketing.
Galit is a Senior Architect with 20 years post qualification experience across sectors including Residential, Commercial, Education, Civic and Heritage buildings.
She has extensive experience in job running, design team co-ordination and delivering projects from post-planning stage through to completion on site.
Prior to joining Veretec, Galit worked for many years at some of the top residential-led architectural practices, including Pollard Thomas Edwards and Levitt Bernstein, where she worked as Project Lead on a number of large-scale housing regeneration projects, including the Packington Estate in Islington.
Galit is a keen photographer and is part of the team responsible for creating studio and marketing content and holds a Master’s degree in Photography and Urban Cultures.
Jeremy is an architect with over 25 years of experience working on large scale workplace, hotel, residential and retail developments in the UK.
Following an internship working for Stanley Saitowitz in San Francisco, his professional career started in London at SOM working on design and delivery work stages for new build and refurbishment workplace developments. He has developed a particular interest in construction technology and project delivery services whilst working with specialist contractors on the technical design of bespoke unitised precast and curtainwall facades.
During his career, his interests diversified to encompass other wider specialisms such as project technical compliance, project risk management and health & safety.
Jeremy is a member of the Leadership Team and is responsible for ensuring that projects are resourced with appropriate technical expertise and that each project receives timely technical support and is regularly audited.
Amanda is a Senior Architect with over 20 years experience delivering complex projects from concept to completion in the UK and overseas.
Her expertise and leadership skills include design team management, technical and spatial design, specification writing and coordination of the design during the construction phase with a particular focus on leveraging the benefits of BIM.
Amanda has keen interest in digital design research and development and prior to joining Veretec worked across a range of building types including commercial offices in the City of London, healthcare projects for public and private clients, All-through schools and higher education facilities and high-end residential projects.
As a Senior Architect, Ana is experienced at providing an integrated service from design through to execution. She is particularly skilled in delivering large, high-end urban developments and leads on a number of key areas at Veretec including the preparation of technical details and specifications. She is skilled at design team coordination, providing detailed and efficient communication between the client and contractor.
She is responsible for a number of complex interior packages including those on Hammersmith & Fulham Civic Campus, a high-quality reimaging of the Town Hall and surrounding spaces by RSHP. The project requires exceptional co-ordination and precision, as well as a respect for heritage and the agility and adaptability needed when working with existing buildings.
Prior to joining our team, Ana worked at a number of leading architectural practices including Farshid Moussavi Architecture. She worked as design manager for Spanish architecture practice Empty, leading on the interiors packages for the construction of Embassy Gardens at Nine Elms and. At ACME, she oversaw the delivery of the Swansea Bay Masterplan which included an arena, park and pedestrian footbridge
Francesca joined Veretec as an Associate in 2023. Francesca brings a methodical and rigorous approach to coordination, leading on the later stages of design and construction to ensure that design quality is maintained throughout. She is working on a range of projects including Wandsworth Mills, a complex urban scheme encompassing a variety of façade treatments, materials and construction methods.
Having worked in BIM environments for over 12 years, Francesca is a key member of our Project Standards group, helping to establish and embed our practice-wide standards, and looking to balance the compliance-focussed nature of construction with innovation and creativity.
Francesca has a Masters in Architecture and Housing Design and over 20 years’ experience working within the residential sector. Prior to joining Veretec Francesca worked on a number of complex medium and large-scale mixed-use and residential schemes both in Italy and the UK, including Montgomery Wharf in Brentford with BM3 architects.
Mark is a Senior Architect with a wealth of experience leading commercial & leisure, residential and education projects from inception to completion.
He is client and contractor focussed and specialises in delivering elegant, functional and sustainable buildings that stand the test of time. As a graduate of the Bartlett School of Architecture Mark enjoys the creative and technical challenges brought delivering high quality architecture and mixed-use developments including low carbon and low energy building strategies.
Prior to joining Veretec Mark worked on a number of high profile projects at leading practices including Sheppard Robson and Scott Brownrigg.
Phill is committed to successful project delivery and his enthusiasm and passion for executive architecture is combined with his ability to interpret the aspirations of both clients and contractors.
He is recognised for design management expertise and has successfully led the design and delivery of many complex mixed-use developments. Prior to joining Veretec, Phill was a Director at Chapman Taylor and was responsible for project delivery within the residential, workplace, leisure, industrial and retail sectors in the UK and internationally and spent three years establishing an architectural and buildings studio in India for a large UK based multi-disciplinary practice.
Phill is a member of the Aukett Swanke Group UK Board and shares responsibility for leading the studio and its operations.
James is an experienced Architect with a passion for digital construction and experience leading teams on a variety high profile and complex projects in sectors including commercial, residential, mixed-use developments and government and civic buildings.
As a talented BIM specialist James is passionate about the relationship between digital technology and design, and how both can inform and empower each other to deliver more successful outcomes for the client and end user. In his role as BIM Lead James is responsible for the implementation and development of our internal BIM standards & protocols, Revit Forum, training, and BIM strategies across the studio.
Prior to joining Veretec worked in BIM leadership roles for a number of companies including MACE group and Fletcher Priest architects.
Jemma is an experienced and dedicated architect with experience in the successful delivery of large-scale retail, leisure and residential developments in the UK and abroad.
She is a positive communicator with strong leadership skills and enjoys interacting at all levels of the business to coordinate and consolidate design and delivery with a particular focus on providing pragmatic solutions to meet programme and budget.
Prior to joining Veretec, Jemma worked for a number of years at Benoy and more recently with contractors and developers on large residential schemes and has a proven track record in leading projects with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Jemma is part of the Leadership Team and has runs our training and development operations including staff mentoring, training and appraisals.
Ralph has a wealth of design and technical expertise with over 20 years working on a wide range of high-profile building typologies.
He has particular experience leading design teams from pre-tender through to completion and his technical expertise and strengths lie in design team coordination, where his pragmatic and collaborative approach ensure best practice is achieved from each discipline.
Prior to joining Veretec Ralph worked in senior roles at practices including Makower Architects, Pollard Thomas Edwards, Collado Collins and Life3A and he has been involved on a variety of projects ranging from office refurbishments to large mixed-use projects.
Ralph is a member of the Leadership Team and has responsibility for our technical guardianship including projects standards and quality.
Darren has over 15 years experience working in the UK across a wide range of sectors including education, science, health care and laboratory, residential, hospitality and commercial office.
He has particular experience on complex refurbishment and new build facilities through all stages of the design and has a thorough approach to co-ordination and client liaison, with a keen eye for detail combined with a sound technical knowledge.
Darren is a member of our Project Forum and as part of a team is responsible for project standards and quality.
Thomas is an experienced Senior Architect who greatly enjoys all aspects of construction and collaborative approaches to design, delivery and construction.
Earlier in his career, Thomas taught architecture at the Architectural Association School, the University of East London and The University of Dundee. Having lived and worked in Brasilia, Thomas writes and has talked on the BBC about the design and history of the city. He is a Geddes Fellow of Urban Design at the University of Dundee and an Associate of the Brazil Institute, King’s College London.
Prior to joining Veretec Thomas worked for many high profile practices in London, including John McAslan & Partners, on both the design and construction of large housing projects.
Rolando has extensive experience in the design and delivery of major construction projects including Residential, Defence, Education, Housing and Healthcare developments.
He has a multi-disciplinary background working in Architectural, Civil and Structural consultancy roles, which has given him a highly detailed understanding of construction across a variety of projects in BIM level 2 environments.
As a Senior Architectural Technician Rolando plays a key role in technical learning and development in the studio and is responsible for our CPD programme.
Viqui is an Associate with over 15 years experience delivering projects across a variety of sectors including residential and co-living, education and heritage.
She is client and contractor focussed and excels at project and design team leadership, BIM collaboration and on-site support where her attention to design quality and detailing are key. A graduate of the University of Seville Viqui has develop an interest in multidisciplinary collaboration with emphasis on client care, project performance and building occupancy evaluation and outcomes.
As a member of Project Forum Viqui is involved in mentoring architects in the studio and provides support to our BIM Group.
Stephen has extensive experience working within the construction industry alongside architects, consultants and contractors.
He specialises in the design of external envelopes having worked with façade subcontractors and has completed multiple external envelope packages across variety of projects.
He also has a strong background in BIM, with over 15 years experience using Revit and delivering projects compliant with Level 2 requirements. Stephen has operated as a BIM coordinator for Jacobs Engineering and BDP and sits on the Veretec BIM forum.
Stephen was recently offered a placement at Bristol University where he will be undertaking his Masters degree in Façade Engineering on a part time basis.
Adam has a wealth of technical knowledge and experience on all aspects of building design and construction.
He has particular expertise in developer led large and complex residential and commercial office projects and his strengths lie in design team coordination where his pragmatic and collaborative approach ensure best practice is achieved from each discipline.
Adam plays a key role in our projects standards and quality and is responsible for our internal CAD standards & protocols, CAD training and inductions.
Frank leads Veretec financial matters and is instrumental in our management reporting, forecasting and project control.
He works closely alongside the Directors, Management Team and Group Finance Director and is integral to our operational strategies including HR, IT and studio development initiatives.
Frank relocated to the UK from Germany in 2008 and originally joined the Aukett Swanke Group to support overseas investments with budgeting, financial planning, annual audits and reporting.
As a Director at Veretec, Gordon shares overall responsibility for the leadership of the studio, managing all strategic business planning, development and implementation.
Gordon also leads on Veretec’s sustainability strategy. He oversees the practice’s sustainability group looking at ways to positively impact environmental agendas, particularly in the construction phase. Gordon was Director in charge of the practice’s Nova project, which had targeted WELL-enabled and BREEAM Excellent in design, but once delivered attained WELL-certified and BREEAM Outstanding.
Prior to joining Veretec, Gordon spent several years in Hong Kong gaining expertise and new perspectives on emerging trends in large commercial schemes, and in the adaptation of British Standards for international projects. He continues to lead large multi-disciplinary teams on complex mixed-use developments and has contributed to the British Council of Offices specifications.
Gordon’s approach is highly-collaborative and based on his belief that project success is underpinned by positive and open working relationships. He is passionate about education and mentoring within the industry and improving access to careers in the built environment, and is a member of the RIBA ‘s Student Mentoring Programme.
Freddie has overall responsibility for IT strategy and innovation. He is responsible for investigating growth and expansion opportunities and their subsequent integration between Veretec operations and the Aukett Swanke Group environment.
Freddie also has a keen focus on exploring how technology can drive innovation, collaboration and excellence throughout every aspect of our Studio.
James is passionate about buildings and design and combines his leadership role with a commitment towards collaboration and innovation to ensure projects are successfully realised.
He has a successful track record in delivering large, complex and multi-phased projects including residential, commercial office, mixed-use, retail, leisure and transport schemes both in the UK and abroad and is primarily engaged in establishing and maintaining client and consultant relationships.
At Veretec, James shares overall responsibility for the studio and Leadership Team, as well as managing all strategic business planning, development and implementation.
James is member of the Aukett Swanke Group UK Board.
James is a passionate design professional with a proven track record in coordinating and delivering large and complex commercial office, residential and educational projects.
He approaches projects with creativity and enjoys applying his technical knowledge within the BIM environment and as a good communicator is ideally suited to leading our collaborative approach to project delivery.
Prior to joining Veretec James worked in America on large scale commercial office buildings including Pinnacle at Symphony Place in Nashville, Tennessee and BG Group Place in Houston, Texas.
Joe has experience in a wide variety of projects and sectors, having previously delivered high profile developments in both the UK & Australia.
Joe is passionate about resolving complicated and intricate details and developed his research-based design approach whilst leading the unique EXPO Pavilion 2020 project, which features cross laminated timber blades, set out radially to create a slanting circular façade and featuring innovative algorithm-driven LED displays.
He is an excellent communicator and builds quality relationships with all members of the project team through collaborative design principles.
Monique has a broad range of technical knowledge and her experience is varied including a substantial mixed-use residential development, a high-end later living scheme of luxury apartments and extra-care facilities and a number of commercial developments across London.
She has a keen interest in sustainable and eco-friendly architecture and as an Senior Architectural Technician has a fastidious approach to coordination and collaboration across our projects.
Monique also has an active involvement in training and inductions for our teams and helps to support across a variety of our QA procedures.
Paula is an experienced Architect with extensive knowledge of a variety of building types, principally in the residential and office sectors.
Her core skills include both design and delivery and she is dedicated to producing excellent architecture whilst nurturing positive relationships with both clients and contractors.
Paula is a collaborative team member and enjoys sharing her natural enthusiasm and commitment to problem solving.
Robin has extensive experience in the design and delivery of major projects in the UK and Europe.
In a diverse career he has worked on both new build and refurbishment projects across a variety of sectors including offices, residential and retail.
As an associate Robin combines excellent organisational and coordination skills with a collaborative attitude. He adopts a measured approach to problem solving and always seeks to balance good design with appropriate technical solutions.
Sandra joined in 2015 and brings a wealth of experience, pragmatism and aptitude to ensure the smooth running of Veretec and our teams.
She oversees and orchestrates a range of business and studio operations including Veretec documents and protocols, event management, graphics, awards submissions and our social media & web content.
Sandra has a passion for design and communication and forms an integral part of the Marketing Team. Prior to Veretec, she worked within the creative industries, following a degree in Interior Architecture.
Tony has been with Veretec as Finance Director since 2019 and is also the Group Finance Director of Aukett Swanke Group PLC. As a Chartered Accountant Tony has extensive experience and knowledge on all matters of financial reporting and systems as well as technical accounting.
Previously Tony worked at Advanced Power UK Ltd, as Financial Controller, where he concentrated on management of European and Group Finance functions, including statutory audits, budgeting, year-end accounting and tax reporting.
Yvonne is responsible for HR strategy across the practice alongside wide-ranging employee engagement initiatives. As a key member of the supporting team she develops the HR approach in response to Veretec’s wider organisational needs.
Having worked in HR professional services for over 30 years Yvonne has had experience in a variety of sectors including manufacturing, financial, retail and property development.
