Adam Carling

Associate

Adam is an experienced senior technologist with a wealth of technical knowledge on all aspects of building design and construction, and particular expertise in large, complex residential and commercial projects.

He has a particular focus on bespoke project elements including high-end interiors, joinery, finishes and product design. Most recently he has worked on the technical packages for high-end residential project 48 Carey Street, the mixed-use Vulcan Wharf scheme and n2 Nova in Victoria.

Adam is a pragmatic and collaborative design team coordinator. He is a member of our projects standards group and plays a key role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our outputs, leads on CAD training and inductions, and mentoring our younger staff to make sure we get things right first time.

Ana Rodriguez Anguita

Senior Architect

As a Senior Architect, Ana is experienced at providing an integrated service from design through to execution. She is particularly skilled in delivering large, high-end urban developments and leads on a number of key areas at Veretec including the preparation of technical details and specifications. She is skilled at design team coordination, providing detailed and efficient communication between the client and contractor.

She is responsible for a number of complex interior packages including those on Hammersmith & Fulham Civic Campus, a high-quality reimaging of the Town Hall and surrounding spaces by RSHP. The project requires exceptional co-ordination and precision, as well as a respect for heritage and the agility and adaptability needed when working with existing buildings.

Prior to joining our team, Ana worked at a number of leading architectural practices including Farshid Moussavi Architecture. She worked as design manager for Spanish architecture practice Empty, leading on the interiors packages for the construction of Embassy Gardens at Nine Elms and. At ACME, she oversaw the delivery of the Swansea Bay Masterplan which included an arena, park and pedestrian footbridge

Andrea Sigona

Senior Architect

Andrea has expertise in design development and technical coordination on residential, hospitality and commercial developments. Key areas of expertise include reviews of contractor and specialist manufacturer information, BIM modelling/coordination and construction administration. He has particularly strong experience of high-rise developments, such as producing the façade package for our 1 Museum Street office tower project.

Having studied for a master’s degree in architecture and building engineering at the University of Catania in Italy, Andrea qualified as an ARB-registered architect, gaining experience at firms in Italy, the USA, Spain and Denmark before moving to the UK in 2018. He worked for Skidmore Owings & Merill for seven years before joining Veretec, working on diverse projects in the UK and internationally. A key experience was his time overseeing construction administration packages for the refurbishment of the historic Palais des Nations, the United Nations Office at Geneva, one the largest renovation projects happening in Europe.

Andrea particularly enjoys the challenge of translating the original concept design intent as closely as possible, while ensuring buildability, durability and value.

Andrew Roberts

Senior Architectural Technologist

Andrew recently joined Veretec and brings with him a wealth of technical expertise. As an architectural technologist Andrew collaborates closely with the consultant team producing all the technical documentation required throughout Stages 4 and 5 on a project. 

Proficient in Revit, Andrew has worked on a wide variety of projects but has particular experience in retail, residential, hospitality and mixed use developments.

Andrew previously worked in a similar role at Aros where his projects included the new Waldorf Astoria Hotel at Admiralty Arch, and worked at Ruben Reddy in South Africa for 8 years, where he specialised in healthcare and sports projects.

Andrew studied for his architectural drafting diploma South Africa and is inspired by the challenges of realising architectural design through detailing and construction.

Andrew Webster

Associate

Andrew has over 20 years’ experience, working on award-winning buildings in the commercial office and student residential sectors. He has extensive experience designing and delivering both new build and refurbishment projects through all stages of the development process. He also has a keen interest in masterplanning, looking at how best to maximise the development potential of complex sites at early stages, and providing creative design solutions through consultation and planning.

Andrew leads on project quality and efficiency, with a particular focus on sustainability. His diligence ensures that co-ordinated design is delivered on time, budget and to the highest quality. He is currently working on One Museum Street, a mixed use project with a 19 story commercial tower.

Prior to joining Veretec, Andrew worked at Aukett Swanke where he was responsible for the technical design and delivery of a wide range of complex projects, including EQ, a 200,000sqft new build commercial development in Bristol which won a BCO Regional award, and Verde SW1, a 280,000sqft commercial refurbishment for Tishman Speyer in Victoria, London.

Andrew is a member of our internal Project Standards group, improving technical ability across the practice, and the implementation of internal project audits as part of our Quality Assurance systems.

Ban Betson

Senior BIM Co-ordinator

Ban joined Veretec as Senior BIM Coordinator in January 2025, bringing strong experience of ensuring the highest quality of digital modelling on projects across a range of sectors, including residential, hospitality, commercial, retail and leisure.

With a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the American University of Sharjah in the UAE, Ban has previously worked on several large-scale projects in Dubai, including interior fit-out packages for 136 pavilions at Expo 2020, the £210 million One JBR apartment development and the £343 million Museum of the Future. Her project management background (she is PRINCE2-qualified) gives her a deep understanding of how to use BIM to optimise integration among wider project teams and ensure a high standard of delivery.

A member of Women in BIM, Women in Construction and BIM4Housing, Ban has a passion for empowering her team members and exploring the limits of BIM to deliver added value for clients.

Barry Cho

Senior Associate

Barry is a creative problem-solver. As a Senior Associate, he takes an active practice-wide role in championing design quality and internal knowledge share.

Barry co-leads our sustainability group exploring low-carbon initiatives in construction and delivery, and also leads our R&D group with a focus on new ways of working, construction techniques and industry collaboration. He is also training to becoming one of our qualified Building Safety Act Principal Designers.

Barry has particular expertise in facades and building envelopes.  Prior to joining us in 2023 he worked at AHMM for over 12 years, where he led design teams and contractors delivering complex, new build commercial schemes, and was responsible for delivering the unitised curtain wall facades at Derwent London’s Soho Place.

Barry is excited by the opportunities to influence a rapidly changing industry. He is a member of ACAN (Architects Climate Action Network) and participates in a number of industry sustainability forums with a particular interest in the need to reduce carbon in Category A fit-outs.

Beatriz Martinez

Senior Architect

With over 15 years of industry experience, Beatriz joined Veretec in 2025 to work on 125 Shaftesbury Avenue, a mixed-use scheme project in Central London.

Her previous experience includes 10 years at BDP where she worked on design packages for high-profile projects in a range of sectors within the UK;  3T’s Hospital in Brighton, Everton Football Stadium in Liverpool and the new Google Headquarters in London. At Google HQ, she worked for 5 years from Stage 3 to Stage 5 leading Structural packages (CLT and Steelwork), their coordination with MEP services and the subcontractor’s information review.

Beatriz achieved her Master’s Degree in Architecture at the E.T.S. Arquitectura University of Valladolid in Spain. Her first professional experience was in Barcelona, followed by Rotterdam at KCAP, Paris at D. Perrault working for The Magic Box Tennis Stadium in Madrid before continuing for 2 years in New York on residential projects.

She enjoys the complexity of large-scale projects in latest stages and is highly experienced in coordinating relationships across delivery teams.

Ben Rowe

Associate

Ben has more than 12 years’ experience in the industry and leads on building safety compliance on large projects, particularly in the residential, commercial and mixed-use sectors. He knows how to manage large teams on complex buildings, including both design and contractor teams.

Ben’s expertise includes technical reviews of design packages to ensure delivery to the highest standards while providing best value. His extensive experience of complex developments makes Ben well-placed to advise on meeting the various Gateways under the Building Safety Act in relation to higher-risk buildings.

With bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen and London Metropolitan University, respectively, Ben completed his Part 3 at the University of Westminster. His career since then has seen him work at Panter Hudspith Architects and New-works (Formerly TDO). He is currently seconded from New-works to Veretec to enhance collaborative practice between companies, enabling  seamless delivery services for clients from brief making to completion.

Brian Jamieson

Associate

Brian has over 20 years’ UK experience (after several years working in his native Australia), with a particular focus on the high-rise residential sector (including private, co-living, social and student accommodation). He has also worked on projects in the healthcare, retail, hospitality and transportation sectors, including on listed heritage buildings, waterside developments and mixed-use regeneration schemes.

Prior to joining Veretec, Brian worked on many large-scale residential developments from design development through to delivery, including award-winning projects. His experience of pre-planning design has given him excellent insight into how good early design development is crucial for optimum-quality delivery.

Brian received his bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of New South Wales in Sydney and qualified as an Australian chartered architect in 2002. With a strong interest in the history of housing in the UK since the 19th century, he is motivated by the need to provide cost-effective delivery while ensuring homes are decent and safe. Brian has helped design and deliver numerous higher-risk buildings and is focused on ensuring regulatory compliance for a thorough ‘golden thread’ of building information.

Carolina Rodrigues Steiner

Cecilia Gorla

Senior Architect

Cecilia is a senior architect with extensive experience delivering complex projects from Stage 3 to completion. She has worked across a range of building types including large scale regeneration projects, mixed-used developments, commercial offices and hotel refurbishments.

Since joining Veretec she has worked on OneThreeSix George Street, a mixed-use development in London, leading the coordination of its complex façade, and is currently working on a hospitality project. Cecilia is committed to building good working relationships and has worked with a wide range of clients including private developers, councils and main contractors. She takes a pragmatic approach to coordination to achieve programme and client objectives.

Prior to joining Veretec she worked as Design Manager for main contractors both on PCSA and Stage 5 projects, leading the coordination of all design disciplines including specialist sub-contractors.

Cecilia holds a MSc in Regional and Urban Planning Studies from the LSE and a certificate in Energy and Sustainable Building Design from De Montfort University.

Charlie Staniforth

Senior Technologist

Charlie has over 14 years’ experience as an architectural technologist working in a wide range of sectors including residential, senior living, hospitality and commercial. He joins Veretec having spent 3 years at Studio Moren, and is currently working on the ambitious residential scheme at Holloway Park.

Charlie specialises in the production and coordination of BIM models and Revit drawing packages and is motivated by a desire to improve overall efficiencies and maximise team outputs.

He is a strong team member and trouble-shooter and, having acquired extensive Revit knowledge over the past 10 years, mentors and offers Revit support to colleagues. Charlie enjoys being part of a collaborative process, resolving project challenges to arrive at a successful project outcome.

Chris Vella

Associate Director

Chris has over 30 years multi-disciplinary industry experience and has worked in all major areas of practice, from projects to operations and business management, holding senior positions within a variety of organisations.

Chris has worked as an architect and project manager on projects at all scales including new build and refurb, transport and infrastructure projects, and culturally significant and listed buildings. Experienced in working with Tier 1 contractors, he has a deep understanding of delivery challenges and is skilled at finding creative and cost-effective solutions.

He has particular expertise in large, complex urban sites in the residential, commercial, retail, hotel and rail sectors, and is currently working on our RAM Brewery project in Wandsworth, which will include a 34 storey tower.

Chris is part of our senior management team and is a champion of professional education, mentoring Part 3 students.

Craig McLeish

Craig is a versatile senior architect who has worked across a range of sectors and at a variety of scales and has particular expertise in delivering large, complex, mixed-use projects.

Prior to joining Veretec, Craig worked at practices including Rolfe Judd, where he worked on a number of complex mixed-use schemes including Twickenham Gateway, and Darling Associates where he was project architect for Building C of the Eden Campus, a major, mixed-use development in Kingston for Anglo-Dutch consumer goods company Unilever.

Craig studied at the University of Edinburgh and the Bartlett.

Darren has over 15 years’ experience working on complex refurbishment and new build projects through all stages of the design and delivery.

His exceptional technical knowledge and communication skills means he is particularly adept at design team co-ordination and client liaison, managing client expectations and aspirations from early stage design through to delivery.

Darren is technically proficient, able to contribute to design solutions in a fast-paced environment and diligently review construction processes and site activities. He is currently working in a client monitoring role at the complex and ambitious Project Apple for UCB, where he is responsible for reviewing technical information for compliance and quality.

Darren is a member of our in house R&D group looking at innovation in construction, and our QA group, where he takes a lead on health and safety, and the implementation of construction regulations. He is also a member of multi-disciplinary industry forum DIOHAS (Design Initiatives in Health and Safety), meeting regularly to develop and benchmark best practice.

Elena Prousalidou

Senior Architect

Elena is qualified both as an architect and as a civil engineer and brings a unique, holistic perspective to Veretec which combines design expertise with a deep understanding of the structural aspects of built form. She is currently leading on the façade package for 50 Berkeley Street, a sensitive refurbishment and extension of an existing commercial building in Mayfair.

Elena has over 15 years’ experience in a wide variety of sectors including commercial, residential, infrastructure and science. Her first UK job at Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates introduced her to the thrill of being involved in high-profile large-scale projects. She has since worked in many London based practises, including Sheppard Robson, Perkins + Will and Apt. Elena has over 12 years’ experience working with BIM and Revit on a range of complex, large-scale projects.

She studied in Greece at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and then in the UK at Imperial College and UCL, where she obtained an MSc. and an MRes. in Adaptive Architecture & Computation. She is passionate about the growing role that tech can play in both design and construction, continuing to explore the potential of digital tools and AI in the AEC industry.

Eliza Killey

Fabio Petrella

Senior Architect

Fabio has extensive experience in the hospitality and residential sectors, working on a number of large, complex schemes in London. Skilled in both design and delivery, Fabio has a keen interest in the day-to-day challenges of construction, and in collaborating closely with client and contractor to resolve on-site challenges.

He is currently co-ordinating the design team as internal project lead on London Dock, a 364-home residential scheme for St George. Prior to joining Veretec, Fabio spent three and a half years as project architect at Studio Moren where he worked on the design and delivery of schemes including the concrete clad Hampton by Hilton in London’s Waterloo and the Hilton Olympia, a 905-key hotel in Kensington featuring a distinctive red-brick façade that reinterprets the modern mansion block.

Fabio studied architecture in Italy and at the Bartlett, London.

Francesca Melis

Associate

Francesca joined Veretec as an Associate in 2023. Francesca brings a methodical and rigorous approach to coordination, leading on the later stages of design and construction to ensure that design quality is maintained throughout.  She is working on a range of projects including Wandsworth Mills, a complex urban scheme encompassing a variety of façade treatments, materials and construction methods.

Having worked in BIM environments for over 12 years, Francesca is a key member of our Project Standards group, helping to establish and embed our practice-wide standards, and looking to balance the compliance-focussed nature of construction with innovation and creativity.

Francesca has a Masters in Architecture and Housing Design and over 20 years’ experience working within the residential sector. Prior to joining Veretec Francesca worked on a number of complex medium and large-scale mixed-use and residential schemes both in Italy and the UK, including Montgomery Wharf in Brentford with BM3 architects.

Frank Trebeljahr

International Accountant

Frank is a part of the accounts team and is instrumental in our management reporting, forecasting and project control.

He works closely alongside the Directors, Management Team and Group Finance Director and is integral to our operational strategies including HR, IT and studio development initiatives.

Frank has been with Veretec since 2008, after relocating to the UK from Germany. He is also the Accountant for our overall group, Built Cybernetics plc, supporting overseas investments with budgeting, financial planning, annual audits and reporting.

Freddie Cottis

Director - IT Strategy and Innovation

Freddie has overall responsibility for IT strategy and innovation. He is responsible for investigating growth and expansion opportunities and their subsequent integration between Veretec operations and the Built Cybernetics plc environment.

Freddie also has a keen focus on exploring how technology can drive innovation, collaboration and excellence throughout every aspect of our Studio.

Galit Seligmann

Senior Architect

Galit is a senior architect with 20 years’ experience delivering projects from post-planning stage through to completion in sectors including residential, commercial, education, civic and heritage.

She is an adaptable and pragmatic architect with the ability to see the bigger picture as well as hone in on the relevant details.

Galit is skilled at job running and is currently leading on the complex interiors packages at Hammersmith and Fulham Civic Campus, co-ordinating a number of sub-contractors to deliver on RSHP’s ambitious and high quality design. She is a collaborative and enthusiastic design team member, and works hard to develop strong working relationships which she believes are the key to project success.

Prior to joining Veretec, Galit worked for many years at major residential-led architectural practices, including Pollard Thomas Edwards and Levitt Bernstein, where she worked as project lead on large-scale housing regeneration projects, including the award-winning Packington Estate in Islington.

Galit is a keen photographer and a member of our internal marketing group, where she contributes to the creative direction of project photography.

Gisele Viselka

Gordon McQuade

Director

As a Director at Veretec, Gordon shares overall responsibility for the leadership of the studio, managing all strategic business planning, development and implementation.

Gordon also leads on Veretec’s sustainability strategy. He oversees the practice’s sustainability group looking at ways to positively impact environmental agendas, particularly in the construction phase. Gordon was Director in charge of the practice’s Nova project, which had targeted WELL-enabled and BREEAM Excellent in design, but once delivered attained WELL-certified and BREEAM Outstanding.

Prior to joining Veretec, Gordon spent several years in Hong Kong gaining expertise and new perspectives on emerging trends in large commercial schemes, and in the adaptation of British Standards for international projects. He continues to lead large  multi-disciplinary teams on complex mixed-use developments and has contributed to the British Council of Offices specifications.

Gordon’s approach is highly-collaborative and based on his belief that project success is underpinned by positive and open working relationships. He is passionate about education and mentoring within the industry and improving access to careers in the built environment, and is a member of the RIBA ‘s Student Mentoring Programme.

Grace Cattermole

Guadalupe Ferrera

Senior Associate

Lupe joined Veretec in 2023 and brings over a decade of experience delivering new-build urban residential scheme and office fit-outs. She is a lead on the practice’s Stage 4 and 5 audit work, carried out on behalf of clients or contractors and is currently working on a range of projects including at Grafton Street, a new premium retail building on Bond Street.

Lupe is an active member of the practice’s CPD and events group, and a member of the sustainability group, where she champions the role of POEs in helping to achieve the targets set out in the RIBA’s 2030 challenge.

Prior to joining us she worked at Hutchinson and Partners where she worked on the delivery phase of 101 Camley Street, a large, mixed-use development in Kings Cross featuring beautiful and complex facades comprising sustainable Ultima bricks.

James is passionate about buildings and design and combines his leadership role with a commitment towards collaboration and innovation to ensure projects are successfully realised.

He has a successful track record in delivering large, complex and multi-phased projects including residential, commercial office, mixed-use, retail, leisure and transport schemes both in the UK and abroad and is primarily engaged in establishing and maintaining client and consultant relationships.

James is a Board Director and shares overall responsibility for the studio and Leadership Team, as well as managing all strategic business planning, development and implementation.

James Poulin

Senior Architectural Assistant

James is a highly experienced architect with a proven track-record in coordinating and delivering large and complex commercial office, residential and educational projects.

He has a positive and collaborative approach to project delivery, adept at managing and delivering on client expectations and design ambition. James is a resourceful problem-solver using a combination of technical know-how and creative flair to overcome design challenges.

He has particular expertise in the design and delivery of façades, working at the interface of visual appearance and technical performance. He led on the external envelope package for the award-winning n2 project, working closely with engineers to devise the access strategy and external stair for its unique green roof.

Prior to joining Veretec, James worked at Scott Brownrigg collaborating with contractors Galliford Try to develop an innovative and cost-effective modular solution for a portfolio of education projects. He has worked extensively in the States delivering large scale commercial office buildings in Tennessee and Texas.

Jemma Gill

Jemma is an experienced and dedicated architect with experience in the successful delivery of large-scale retail, leisure and residential developments in the UK and abroad.

She is project lead at residential scheme Holloway Park, where her exceptional leadership skills, collaborative approach and pragmatic approach to meeting programme and budget, have contributed to the highly successful design development and delivery.

As a member of our Leadership Team, Jemma heads up the training and development group, including mentoring and appraisals, internal knowledge share, site visits and a CPD programme focussed on wide range of skills including leadership and presentation.

Jemma has a proven track record in leading large residential projects, retail schemes and intricate cut and carve projects, including The Bullring. Bluewater and the St David’s Centre. Prior to joining Veretec, she worked at Benoy, and on a variety of schemes in the Middle East which gave her experience on accelerated schemes and co-ordinating globally dispersed design teams.

She is an active champion of women in construction, and a member of a range of industry groups and forums focussed on the development and visibility of women in the industry.

Jeremy Williamson

Director - Principal Designer

Jeremy is a senior architect and Principal Designer with over 25 years’ experience working on the delivery stages for new build and refurbishment workplace developments, hotel, residential and retail developments.

Over a wide career he has developed additional expertise in areas including technical compliance, risk management and health & safety.

He performs a variety of roles at Veretec, overseeing project work and tender documentation, conducting audits and reviews and heading up the Client Monitoring Team. He has a particular interest in construction technology and project delivery services, working with specialist contractors on the technical design of bespoke unitised precast and curtainwall façades.

As a member of the management team, Jeremy is responsible for ensuring that projects are appropriately resourced and regularly audited. He leads our project standards group and is a member of our QA group, reporting monthly on technical project reviews and ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to.

Prior to joining Veretec, Jeremy was part of the senior team at Grid architects, responsible for technical reviews and delivering large scale residential projects including The Residence at Nine elms, and Repton Gardens at Wembley.

Joe Roper

Associate

Joe has experience in a wide variety of projects and sectors designed and delivered in both the UK and Australia.

He has developed an expertise in working with timber, and a research-based design approach to the material, championing its potential in construction based on a deep understanding of its properties and performance.

At Veretec he has led on two projects that have driven innovation in the use of timber; EXPO Pavilion 2020 by Es Devlin, featuring a dynamic façade of radially set-out, cross-laminated timber blades incorporating LED displays; and the collaborative hub at Project Apple for UCB designed by Heatherwick Studio.

Joe previously worked as a joiner, like his father before him. He is passionate about resolving complicated and intricate details and has given CPDs on the subject as well as spoken at timber conferences. He is a member of our internal R&D group, focussing on the material in construction. Joe also mentors our apprentices and contributes to our training and development group.

Joe is an excellent communicator, building the quality relationships with design team members that are essential to interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative endeavour.

Lauren joined Veretec as senior architect with more than 20 years’ experience in project delivery in a wide range of sectors. She is well-versed in compliance issues, from fire to thermal performance and structural and MEP co-ordination. She has particular expertise in residential projects and is currently working on One Museum Street, a mixed-use neighbourhood in central London.

Lauren aims to provide a very high level of client service and enjoys working with and co-ordinating project specialists and trades, all committed to achieving an excellent project outcome.

Prior to joining Veretec, Lauren worked as senior architect at CJCT, where her projects included high-end residential developments such as White City for St James, and as architect for over 11 years at housing specialist PTE, where her projects included the award winning Packington neighbourhood regeneration, and Clarendon for St William.

Lauren has also worked extensively in Europe on urban and masterplan developments.

Manjiri Joshi

Associate

With an unerring eye for architectural detail and technical precision, Manjiri’s experience covers the workplace, aviation, healthcare, commercial, mixed-use and prime residential sectors. She brings a deep understanding of building regulations, approved documents, stakeholder management, complex construction coordination and BIM Level II implementation, all while embedding sustainability strategies into every stage. She marries design ambition with the rigor of technical execution and commercial realism, guiding projects from early feasibility through to delivery.

Since achieving her bachelor’s degree in architecture and master’s degree in urban planning from VNIT, Nagpur, India, Manjiri has gained 20 years’ industry experience, having led design and construction packages for high-profile projects including the leading UK based Global Public Service broadcaster, UK Border Force holding rooms at all the Heathrow terminals and Terminal 4 CUSS and SSBDs automisation projects (all at Pascall + Watson), each of which required extensive stakeholder liaison. She also led the renovation and fit-out of the WPP’s London headquarter: Rose Court office building in Southwark for BDG A+D. During her tenure at Hunters, Scott Brownrigg and Broadway Malyan, Manjiri contributed to the successful delivery of DSDC – Gold accredited, BIM Level II Dementia Care Home projects in South Cerney, Otterbourne Hill, Bedford riverside commercial and mixed-use development and high-end residential projects: Dicken’s Yard, Kew Bridge, Chelsea Bridge Wharf.

She is currently collaborating on the design and technical delivery for a co-living and affordable housing development in Bermondsey and overseeing Design Coordination of The Westbury hotel, Central London.

Manjiri is active in fostering mentoring initiatives, technical reviews and taking part in knowledge-sharing forums, particularly those focused on sustainability, empathetic design, project standards and BIM implementation. She is passionate about encouraging collaborative dialogue between design and technical delivery teams.

Maria Perez Vera

Senior Architectural Designer

Maria joined Veretec in 2023 and has been actively involved in assessing design compliance with technical standards on some major projects. She is leading on interiors packages for the One Museum Street mixed-use development in Holborn and has worked on interiors packages and fire safety for the 50 Berkeley Street office building in Mayfair.

With experience on commercial, residential and hospitality developments, particularly refurbishments and conversions, she embraces the capture and dissemination of lessons learned for continuous improvement, especially relating to building safety. Maria is particularly skilled in the coordination and production in an BIM environment, efficiently managing the workflow to optimise the output and working collaboratively with design teams to ensure both the client brief and statutory requirements are met.

Having gained her master’s degree in architecture at the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena in Spain, Maria moved to London in 2017. Prior to Veretec, she worked at ACME on projects such as the 340-bed Canopy by Hilton London City Hotel, managing construction information and delivery on site ranging from structure and MEP coordination to fitout and artwork. She was also involved on the completion of the Florattica Rooftop bar in the City of London, where she developed the fireproofing details for the 120sqm floral ceiling installation, the largest of its kind in the UK.

Matteo Frongia

Senior Architect

Matteo is a senior architect with experience working for practices in Italy, the Netherlands and the UK. He has worked on all stages of development, from conception to completion, in numerous sectors, applying his passion for parametric design and BIM.

Matteo’s specialism is producing high-quality Stage 4/5 deliverables in Revit, helping ensure strong BIM coordination across project teams, including contractors and engineers. He brought these skills to the delivery of the external envelope at our 985-unit Holloway Park residential development for Peabody Trust in North London.

ARB-accredited, Matteo achieved his master’s degree at the University of Cagliari in his native Sardinia. Living in London since 2015, he has previously provided key interior and external envelope design outputs for major commercial projects such as 95 Queen Victoria Street (for Sheppard Robson), 8 Bishopsgate and 21 Moorfields in London (for Wilkinson Eyre, where he also worked on the proposed Old Oak Common HS2 transport interchange) as well as healthcare/laboratory projects (for Scott Tallon Walker, BDP and Steffian Bradley).

Matthew Brightmore

Matthew is highly experienced in providing comprehensive technical coordination for the delivery of high-quality external building envelopes, with a strong record of working closely with Main Contractors, Specialist Contractors and relevant authorities to ensure projects are completed on time and to the satisfaction of clients.

He has a strong understanding of modern methods of construction, with a particular focus on building facades. Matthew is also keenly aware of the relationship between high-quality building envelopes and reduced carbon footprints.

Having studied at the Liverpool and Manchester Schools of Architecture, Matthew qualified as an architect in 2011. Joining Veretec in 2025, Matthew previously focused on projects in the commercial/office sector, including leading the delivery of 7 Old Park Lane, Mayfair, and overseeing the design development of the unitised façade and roof of YY London at Canary Wharf. He is currently leading on the delivery of the £200 million apartment development at 54 Bishops Avenue in Hampstead.

Minerva Romay

Associate

Having worked in the industry since 2012, Minerva joined Veretec from Apt Architects, where she was a Senior Architect specialising in leading the delivery of complex residential and mixed-use developments. A key role was coordinating stage 4/5 outputs (including being project Revit Champion) for 2 Trafalgar Way, Canary Wharf, which is set to be the largest Passivhaus student accommodation scheme in Europe. Before that, she spent over four years working on delivering hospitality and commercial fit outs and residential projects at F3 Architects, including the players’ facilities and hospitality and media areas at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Minerva achieved her bachelor’s degree in architecture and her master’s degree in architectural conservation from the University of A Coruña in Spain, subsequently achieving her Part 3 at the UCL Bartlett School of Architecture. She has experience across the residential (including PBSA), hospitality and retail sectors.

Minerva has a passion for sustainably refurbishing and repurposing buildings and is training to become a sustainable retrofit coordinator. She also enjoys mentoring younger architects, including for fellow members of the Women in Architecture initiative.

As a senior architectural technician, Monique has a rigorous and detailed approach to coordination and performance, and leads on the management and delivery of project packages.

Her technical expertise and exceptional attention to detail and quality have been developed across a wide range of project typologies including mixed-use and luxury residential developments, later-living and extra care schemes and a number of commercial developments across London. She has worked on a number of specialist amenity packages including basement swimming pools, spas and libraries

She is residential lead on the London Dock project, becoming adept at the highly specific processes and design input required by St George, and anticipating within the early stages of design, opportunities to maximise the project’s marketing potential.

Monique is a member of our QA group, responsible for the technical inductions for new staff and actively involved in ongoing training.

Nadine Barake

With nearly 30 years of experience in the industry, Nadine has a comprehensive understanding of the technical and regulatory requirements for successfully delivering complex, large-scale projects in the residential, mixed-use and healthcare sectors. 

Nadine joined Veretec in 2025, having previously led on design, tender and construction packages, both interior and exterior, for large residential delivery projects at the likes of Chapman Taylor and Broadway Malyan. She has also led on delivering various hospital projects, such as the BREEAM Excellent Fareham Community Hospital in Hampshire. Her focus is building safety compliance as well as technical excellence.

Nadine received her master’s degree in architecture from the Lebanese University (where she also achieved a bachelor’s degree in French language and literature). She subsequently studied heritage building conservation at Anglia Ruskin University, and conservation architecture remains a strong interest of hers. She enjoys passing on her expertise to others, having mentored young professionals, advised colleagues on technical details and organised CPD programmes for all.

Patrycja has over ten years of industry experience, specialising in high-end residential and mixed-use projects. She combines technical expertise with a strong focus on client satisfaction, able to manage complex designs and coordinate with various stakeholders.

Often involved in the earlier stages of design, Patrycja is experienced in managing projects from RIBA stage 3 onwards to ensure that projects meet both aesthetic standards and regulatory requirements. She has extensive knowledge of building regulations in both the UK and Poland and is competent in navigating complex legal and technical requirements across a wide range of projects.

She is currently working on our London Dock project for St George, with a focus on internal design, collaborating closely with the client to develop a strong understanding of their specific processes and design requirements.

Patrycja is a member of our Events Group and regularly attends events such as London Build Expo to understand the latest developments in construction. Prior to joining Veretec, she worked at aca studios where she led on a number of residential projects from concept to completion and was part of the project team on large scale developments such as Wickside, a 500+ residential led scheme.

Paula Ferrao

Paula is an experienced architect with a technical focus and extensive knowledge of a variety of building types.

Since joining Veretec, Paula has specialised in the design and delivery of residential projects. She previously worked on projects at Vulcan Wharf and Regent’s House, and is currently leading a team on the £170m Holloway Park development, a new neighbourhood on a 10 acre site.

Paula is a qualified architect in both the UK and Portugal where she originally studied, and is dedicated to producing excellent architecture whilst nurturing positive relationships with both clients and contractors. Prior to joining Veretec she worked at BPTW, leading on large residential developments in Greenwich.

Paula is an enthusiastic and collaborative team member and a natural problem solver. She is a member of our project standards group, developing practice-wide technical knowledge, and participating in wider industry forums and events on best practice and sustainability.

Petros Ioannou

With over 25 years’ experience, Petros has expertise in all elements of the delivery process, including technical delivery, coordination, and project management in the residential, commercial, hospitality, and other sectors.

He has a particular interest in helping deliver larger-scale projects that can be enjoyed by as many people as possible.

With an Architect-Engineer degree from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece,  Petros recognizes the importance of a fully integrated, cross-disciplinary approach to architectural delivery, ensuring that a building’s technical requirements—including structure, fire safety, fit-out, services, and sustainability—are optimized while aligning with the client’s aesthetic vision and the practical needs of its end users. Petros has played a key role in delivering major projects, including the coordination and completion of 400 homes at Eastman Village in Harrow, the design development for a large-scale mixed-use masterplan in Bahrain, and the delivery of 638 units at Whitechapel’s Silk District.

He has also overseen the completion of several shopping centres and multiplexes in Greece, one of which received a prestigious MIPIM Award. Additionally, he has successfully participated in architectural competitions, notably the Davidson Prize, where his team’s work was shortlisted among the top three entries.

Phill is committed to successful project delivery and his enthusiasm and passion for executive architecture is combined with his ability to interpret the aspirations of both clients and contractors.

He is recognised for design management expertise and has successfully led the design and delivery of many complex mixed-use developments. Prior to joining Veretec, Phill was a Director at Chapman Taylor and was responsible for project delivery within the residential, workplace, leisure, industrial and retail sectors in the UK and internationally and spent three years establishing an architectural and buildings studio  in India for a large UK based multi-disciplinary practice.

Phill is a Board Director and shares responsibility for leading the studio and its operations.

Robin Hayes

Associate

Robin has extensive experience in the design and delivery of major projects in the UK and Europe.

In a diverse career he has worked on both new build and refurbishment projects across a variety of sectors including commercial and residential schemes.  He was recently project lead on the ambitious commercial project, n2 in Victoria.

Robin combines excellent organisational and coordination skills with a collaborative attitude. He adopts a measured approach to problem solving and always seeks to balance good design with appropriate technical solutions. As a senior project lead, Robin is motivated by finding new, and fully compliant, ways to deliver exceptional design.

Robin has also been responsible for delivering on the design intent and exceptional levels of quality required on high-end residential schemes such as 1 Kensington Gardens. Prior to joining Veretec, Robin worked at Aukett Swanke, where he was responsible for the design and delivery of a wide range of complex projects.

Robin is a member of our internal projects standards group, maintaining and improving technical ability across the practice. He also leads on the implementation and internal audits of our QA system ensuring that it is fully understood and executed by our teams.

Rolando Hernandez

Senior Architectural Technician

As a senior architectural technician, Rolando has extensive experience in the design and delivery of major projects across all sectors including residential, defence, education and healthcare.

Rolando enjoys working within design constraints and regulations to deliver something exceptional. He has a multi-disciplinary background in architectural, civil and structural consultancy and brings to Veretec a comprehensive and detailed understanding of construction, from inception to completion, providing critical project continuity.

He has extensive experience working in BIM level 2 environments, and recently led on the n2 and Holloway Park projects, responsible for the detailing of external packages, and high levels of co-ordination with engineers and design team consultants.

Rolando is a member of both our technical review group and training and development group and plays a leading role in mentoring our teams to become technically proficient. He contributes to our ongoing mentoring and review process and organises staff site visits to improve holistic understanding and knowledge of live construction.

Prior to joining Veretec, Rolando worked for a variety of leading practices including TP Bennet, Broadway Malayan and PRP, delivering high end residential projects.

Sandra Taylor

Marketing & Communications Manager

Sandra has been with Veretec for ten years and oversees the full range of communications and marketing activities, including bids and fee proposals, graphics, events, awards and social media.

She led on the development of the practice’s website and continues to manage its content.

Sandra established the small team that she now manages, prioritising practice-wide requirements and co-ordinating the outputs of a busy department. Sandra is also responsible for administrating our environmental management and QA accreditation.

Sandra is calm, pragmatic and organised with a deep interest in the creative industries, having previously studied Interior Architecture in Ireland. She is a member of our internal events team, and also our sustainability team.

Sangeeta Shenoy

Director

Sangeeta specialises in the technical design and delivery of high-risk residential, commercial, mixed-use and PBSA buildings. She has specialism in towers over 30 m high, and projects with multi-level basements and multiple phases.  

With over 17 years’ experience in the industry, Sangeeta has successfully led projects ranging from £80-£500m. She joined Veretec in 2025 after 13 years at FBM Architects, where she worked on delivering major projects such as the technically complex White City Living mixed-use scheme in West London with Berkeley St.James and an award-winning, 25-storey mixed-use development at Clarendon Road, Watford with Regal London.  Sangeeta is very proficient with Building Regulations, London Plan, London council SPGs and has worked on delivering social housing for main contractors with Housing Association or Local Authority clients such as the 382-unit mixed use, mixed-tenure scheme at Wharf Road, Hackney with United Living and A2Dominion, 487 affordable units at Battersea Power Station Phase 4a for Ardmore Construction and Peabody. Sangeeta is leading the delivery of the 364-unit London Docks mixed-use scheme for Berkeley St. George at Veretec.

Sangeeta’s knowledge of good design is complemented by her understanding of CDM/BR Principal Designer requirements – she is currently pursuing Association of Project Safety PD accreditation. She has navigated Building Safety Act Gateways on live projects and has expertise in the deployment of BIM. Rigorous in her approach to technical detailing, Sangeeta has a sharp understanding of planning and funding directives in delivery.

A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion in the construction industry, Sangeeta is a Women in BIM mentor, on the Board of Trustees at the Architects Benevolent Society and a member of the Southwark Design Review Panel.

With 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, Simon’s focus is the design and delivery of large-scale urban projects, particularly residential and mixed-use schemes. He has a talent for problem-solving and unlocking value on technically challenging urban sites, finding efficient solutions for developer and landowner clients.

A graduate of Kingston University and the University of Westminster, Simon joined Veretec in 2025, having previously worked on major schemes such as the mixed-use West Hampstead Central project, which involved delivering 180 residential apartments and office/retail uses on a constrained site, and the 400-unit Eastman Village development in Harrow.

As well as urban residential and mixed-use expertise, he has worked on leisure and modular developments and is currently helping deliver the refurbishment of the Holden House office building in Central London.

Siu recently joined Veretec as a senior architect, with extensive experience delivering complex projects from Stage 3 to completion. She has worked on a wide range of projects including residential, educational and commercial buildings with particular expertise in the hospitality and residential sectors.

Prior to joining Veretec Siu was façade envelope and externals lead responsible for the design development and delivery of a number of high end hospitality projects including The Hoxton, Shepherds Bush.

Siu enjoys the collective process of problem solving and resolving technical issues. She actively nurtures strongly collaborative teams and a positive working environment, as a prerequisite for project success.

Sophia Johnson

Senior BIM Co-ordinator

Sophia joins Veretec in a specialist BIM role. She has previously worked in BIM co-ordination roles at Eric Parry Architects and DLG Architects and is experienced in BIM level 2.

She is currently working on projects at London Dock and Wandsworth Mill for St George, ensuring the smooth co-ordination of information management for all members of the project team, using the COBie and Uniclass systems.

Sophia is a mentor at the Blueprint for All Charity, they provide opportunities for young people from diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds through mentorship and career development in order to create a more inclusive architectural and construction industry.

Stefan Busher

Senior Associate

With over 25 years’ experience in architecture, Stefan has worked on a range of building typologies including residential, commercial, education, healthcare and aviation sectors in the UK and abroad, with a central focus on delivery, sustainability, and compliance. His skills in monitoring and auditing and attention to detail reflect his desire to guarantee that buildings are always constructed safely and to the highest quality.

He joined Veretec in 2025 from GRID Architects, where he worked for 10 years leading projects such as the RIBA-Award-nominated Verna residential development at Acton Gardens in West London, 5 Belvedere Gardens a mixed-use development located within the Southbank Place master plan and Dundrum Village a mixed-use BtR development in Dublin.

While at GRID, Stefan was Head of Sustainability, his passion for which he imparts to architecture students as guest lecturer at the University of Greenwich. He is keenly interested in embodied carbon, circular economies, urban biodiversity, and the possibilities of regenerative cities.  He also enjoys mentoring younger architects, several of whom have gone on to more senior positions. Stefan is a member of the practice’s sustainability team and project standards group.

Stephen Alden

Stephen is Veretec’s façades lead. With many years’ broad industry experience, he now specialises in the design, detailing and delivery of external envelopes, and has worked extensively with a range of façade subcontractors.

At Veretec, Stephen has led on façades for individual projects including the multi award-wining Featherstone building by Morris and Co, and AHMM’s Holloway Park, an ambitious and complex project with a wide variety of façades demanding careful detailing, co-ordination and technical resolution to translate design ambition into buildability.

Stephen undertakes a practice-wide role reviewing and developing façade standards across all projects, and is a member of our internal project standards group.

Stephen has just completed a Masters in Façade Engineering at the University of West England, developed in association with the Centre for Window and Cladding Technology. He is a member of the Society of Façade Engineering.

Thomas is an experienced senior architect who enjoys all aspects of design, delivery and construction.

He has significant experience in commercial and residential projects and particular expertise in façade engineering, cladding and external envelopes working to balance compliance, aesthetics and buildability. He has recently worked on a new live/work typology in East London, and on the ambitious Grafton Street project.

A passionate communicator, Thomas leads the Part 3 study group at Veretec, supplementing formal studies with lively discussion and support. Thomas has taught architecture at the AA, the University of East London and The University of Dundee. Having lived and worked in Brasilia, he writes and talks about the design and history of the city and is an Associate of the Brazil Institute, King’s College London, part of their global outreach programme.

Prior to joining Veretec, Thomas worked for several London practices including John McAslan & Partners, where he led on the design and construction of large housing projects, through from concept to tender, and gained experience in the integration of structure and services in tall buildings.

Tim House

Associate

With over 40 years’ experience in the industry, Tim has expertise in developing early design concepts to ensure they are technically excellent and buildable while honouring the original client vision. He has a strong background delivering complex hotel projects and has also worked on commercial and residential projects.

Tim joined Veretec after several years working as a design manager contractor-side, with recent projects including the conversion of the listed In and Out Club in Piccadilly to become the new Cambridge House hotel (for Ardmore), redeveloping the building envelope of Marylebone Hotel at Marble Arch (for Ellmer Construction), and the Fitzjohn Avenue residential development in Hampstead (for Apex Construction). He enjoys working as part of a large team on site, bringing various people and disciplines together to produce a cohesive, successful result.

Tim graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in architecture from Oxford Brookes University and an MA degree in urban architecture/design from California Polytechnic State University.

Tony has been with Veretec as Finance Director since 2019 and is also the Group Finance Director of Built Cybernetics plc. As a Chartered Accountant Tony has extensive experience and knowledge on all matters of financial reporting and systems as well as technical accounting.

Previously Tony worked at Advanced Power UK Ltd, as Financial Controller, where he concentrated on management of European and Group Finance functions, including statutory audits, budgeting, year-end accounting and tax reporting.

Viqui Sanchez

Associate

Viqui has over 15 years’ experience delivering projects across a variety of sectors including residential and co-living, education and heritage.

She is a highly collaborative architect, bringing exceptional communication and leadership skills to her role as project lead.  She is a skilled BIM co-ordinator, motivated by quality, effective teamworking and successful project outcomes.

Viqui graduated from the University of Seville where she developed an interest in multidisciplinary collaboration and client care. A strategic thinker, she is adept at client liaison and reporting, championing the wider project vision whilst managing the day-to-day co-ordination of the design team.

She is a member of our internal training and development group, where she leads on mentoring and knowledge dissemination. She is currently training to become a Principal Designer, a compliance-specialist role set out in the new Building Safety Act.

Wolfgang Frese

Associate

Wolfgang is a highly skilled senior architect with a wealth of UK and international experience. He has a particular specialism in commercial refurbishment and is currently working on our delivery of 125 Shaftesbury Avenue, a scheme by DSDHA to rejuvenate a huge 1980s office building in London’s West End.

Wolfgang has worked at a number of high profile practices including AHMM, where he worked on schemes at Soho Place, and 61 Oxford Street, Alsop Architects, Alison Brooks and Munckenbeck + Marshall. He also worked at structural engineers Atelier One where he was a member of the façades group.

Wolfgang’s first love was interiors and furniture. He originally trained as a cabinet maker and continues to be fascinated by the use of timber at all scales in buildings, a skill set that he used most recently on the fit out of AHMM’s Google HQ, Berlin.

Wolfgang studied architecture in Stuttgart, Germany and at The Bartlett, UCL. He is a part-time lecturer in technical studies at the Architectural Association, and is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Yvonne Mathurin

Associate - Head of HR

Yvonne is responsible for HR strategy across the practice alongside wide-ranging employee engagement initiatives. As a key member of the supporting team she develops the HR approach in response to Veretec’s wider organisational needs.

Having worked in HR professional services for over 30 years Yvonne has had experience in a variety of sectors including manufacturing, financial, retail and property development.
