Associate - BIM Lead
James is a highly skilled BIM specialist, passionate about the role of digital technology in designing the built environment efficiently, and its potential to deliver more successful outcomes for clients and building users.
He is an experienced architect, and has led teams on a variety of high profile and complex projects in sectors including commercial, residential, mixed-use developments and government and civic buildings.
As BIM lead at Veretec, James provides expertise across all projects and is responsible for the development and implementation of our BIM strategy, standards & protocols, including training across the studio. He also contributes to our internal training and R&D groups, upskilling our team to champion the seamless, practice-wide integration of BIM as part of our design approach.
James is a forward- thinking designer, keen to anticipate and embrace advances in technology, including AI and MMC, and to educate others in order to collectively explore the wider potential of digital tools within the industry.
James previously worked in BIM leadership roles for both architectural and construction companies, including MACE group and Fletcher Priest. He participates in a number of industry-wide groups focussed on DFMA (design for manufacture and assembly), and the potential of digital design to help reduce carbon.
