Plus X Brighton wins Design Week Award

We’re thrilled that Plus X Brighton has won the Workplace Interiors category at the Design Week Awards 2021.

Veretec undertook architectural monitoring for U+I on the scheme – designed by Studio Egret West.  The 53,000 sqft building is part of a national network of ‘innovation hubs’ offering coworking space for start-up and SME businesses, and sits within the mixed-use Preston Barracks development in Brighton.

The design features a triple height atrium with criss-crossing stairs, bridges and circulation spaces which encourage communal interaction and collaboration for the building’s occupants.  The stripped-back, clean interior materials palette incorporates vibrant feature accent colours which add warmth and reflect the building’s function as a dynamic hub for innovation and creativity.
