We were appointed directly by Derwent London to undertake architectural monitoring of White Collar Factory, and both the main contactor Multiple and novated architects Allford Hall Monaghan Morris.
The redevelopment of the major corner site at Old Street / Silicon Roundabout in the heart of London’s Tech City. The scheme included a new 16-storey 237,000sqft office tower incorporating Derwent London’s White Collar Factory concept and campus buildings which includes offices, retail and residential units plus a new public square.
Our role commenced from RIBA Stage E onwards with monitoring duties including a particular focus on elements that could influence net internal area, external envelope, heights of structural soffits, ceilings and raised floors, compliance with statutory requirements, building cores, kitchens and bathrooms to residential properties, external areas and courtyard.
White Collar Factory opened in 2017 and has won numerous awards including BCO Commercial Workplace Award 2018 and BCO London Innovation Award 2018.
