This major renovation project sets about to enhance BAFTA’s identity as an international centre of excellence for the motion picture arts, balancing members’ needs with extra revenue generation to ensure long-term financial sustainability for the charity.

The expansion proposals include the reintegration of the large unused historic roof-light spaces which originate from the building’s previous use as the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours.

Other facilities include cinema theatres, a banqueting hall, multipurpose event spaces, a members’ bar, a restaurant and club, meeting rooms, administration and staff offices and two terraces overlooking Piccadilly and the Grade I listed St James Church.
