We recognise that rigorous design monitoring involves a process of collaboration and reconciling conflicting interests, and we understand that continuity is crucial to delivering the scheme that was originally conceived

Design monitoring is essential to ensure that the building created and nurtured through feasibility and planning is delivered at completion. We start from the premise that each building is unique with its own history, creative challenges and technical constraints, and our approach is developed through comprehensive investigation and detailed appraisal. Through our input to the design process we strive to add value to our clients’ projects whilst protecting the principals of the original design concept. CRL Building, Preston Barracks, BrightonThe Central Research Laboratory ‘CRL’ building forms part of the development of Preston Barracks, a significant mixed-use regeneration scheme for the city, and will become the new home for the university’s Business School - a new 50,000sqft hub for start-up and SME businesses.
