Projects > Edward Street Quarter

Information / Team

Veretec are appointed by Buckley Gray Yeoman to form part of their team from RIBA Stage 3 and to lead the design development of the podium and basement levels for Edward Street Quarter, a new urban and community hub in Brighton.

The mixed-use scheme re-develops a vacant site to the east of the city centre to create 168 residential units and 160,000 sqft of workspace. At ground level, a series of public, landscaped walkways and green spaces are formed, along with a new pedestrianised street that will tie the site into the local area, and a new public square provides central outdoor space for a mix of leisure and creative activities for the adjacent shops, cafes and market stalls.

Veretec are working alongside a large multi-disciplinary team with particular emphasis on resolving the complex structural and services geometry.

Construction on site started in Autumn 2019 with completion due in 2021.
