Projects > No.9 Dallington Street
We were appointed as Executive Architects for No9 Dallington Street, a ‘pro-working’ flexible work space developed by Fora Space.
This exceptional scheme involved the redevelopment of a dilapidated building in the heart of Clerkenwell to create an agile and contemporary shared workspace. Floor plates were extended to increase lettable area to 9160sqft and stick system curtain walling was installed to form an inner courtyard at ground level with a new glazed stepped façade to one side.
The existing building consists of ground plus 4 storeys with extensive refurbishment incorporating an extension at 4th floor and the creation of a new 5th floor. New upper storeys have new glazed facades with folding sliding doors onto amenity terraces and are topped with zinc clad barrel vaulted roof.
The scheme provides flexible office accommodation at floors 1st – 5th with gallery, event space, reception and café uses at ground floor.
The overall retrofit uses sympathetic materials to minimise visual impact and to complement the existing exposed bricks, steel and timber structure which results in beautifully executed workspace.
The project forms part of Fora Space’s strategic development of spaces in central London, and it completed early 2018.
