Projects > Berkeley Square
Veretec were commissioned as Executive Architects to deliver the 30 Berkeley Square art auction house, gallery and office space as part of Aukett Swanke’s redevelopment for Mercury.
The project included complex structural alterations to provide change of use at basement, ground, first and second floors into art gallery and auction house areas, which included extensive remodelling to provide double height external glazing and creation of a new entrance onto Davies Street.
The sixth and seventh floors have been reconfigured to provide additional office space with external terraces, and new façades in bronze powder coated aluminium that is sympathetic to the existing building and the Mayfair conservation area.
Opened in 2014 with an inaugural Contemporary Art Evening Auction this state-of-the-art gallery is now the European flagship location for Phillips.
