We are proud to win the AJ100 Executive Architect of the Year award for the second year running and are very pleased that the judges recognised the hard work that our teams make.

'Veretec, part of Aukett Swanke group, was a deserving winner for the second year running, with two projects attracting particular praise.

The Passage, Victoria, was the refurbishment of a building for a charity for the homeless, on which the design architect was Buckley Gray Yeoman. Veretec's renovation included finding a way to increase the ceiling heights by the removal of a mezzanine floor.

At One Love Lane, London EC2, the practice worked with Stiff+Trevillion on the refurbishment of a 1980s seven-storey office building to provide a new façade treatment and improvements to the efficiency of the floor plate.

The judges applauded the fact that Veretec added value to both projects that it presented and admired its innovation in terms of administration and the setting-up of processes. 'These projects could not have been done without a deep level of trust and co-operation,' they said.
